More than a day count
Adults generally need 1,095 days of physical presence in the five-year eligibility period and must meet other requirements. Tax filing, language, knowledge and prohibitions may affect an application.
Use the citizenship calculation
Eligible time before PR may count at half a day, up to 365 days of credit. This is different from the PR residency obligation. Use IRCC’s physical presence calculator and your application checklist.
